Sunday, July 11, 2010

A man has been indicted in the hit-and-run death of former "American Idol" contestant Alexis Cohen.

A grand jury in Ocean County, N.J., has indicted 24-year-old Daniel J. Bark on four counts related to Cohen's death, the Asbury Park Press reports. Bark will face charges of aggravated manslaughter, death by auto, eluding police and knowingly leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death.

Cohen never made it past the audition round on "Idol," but she was one of the show's most memorable first-round rejectees.
